Just did my first unassisted build today and it posted first time (yay!)

dfi lan party, x2 3800+, x1900xtx and a 250gb hitachi hard drive. the only issue i have is that the drive is only being recognized as a 128gb drive in windows. something in my mind is ringing bells as this being a common issue. a quick google tells me it was with FAT however i installed windows by doing a quick NTFS format and the drive in my computer says it is NTFS.

Anyone know how i go about sorting his out ?

Cheers

Windows SP1 minimum will fix this. If you have SP1 onwards installed and you still can't see the rest of the drive, then Right click My computer > Manage > Disk Managment > Right click unpartitioned/unallocated space and click Format. This will leave you with two partitions though. If you had installed windows SP1 from scratch, you would have seen the whole drive straight away as this included the 48bit LBA fix.
