if Campell and Cole had got second yellows it wouldnt of matter for the start fo the season.

So explain to me how straight reds should count then.
 
I guess because a straight red can only be for something malicious, dangerous etc., and so deserves punishment.

Can't say I agree though, the Community Shield should be like any other English competition as far as suspencions go, and private friendlys arranged between clubs should have no suspencions at all.
