If they were mine it would either be the first or second (I will not say which as I think you should decide). The first I would be tempted to crop a chunk from the bottom, as I really like the top but the bottom couple of cm's not so keen. It fits the three techniques (backlit, deep DOF and B&W). Alternatively, second one is equally very good; leading lines deep DOF and B&W; they make a terrific pair and I love the B&W conversions.

im liking the first one a lot.

+1
Technique list: Backlighting, Blur, Bokeh, Centred Composition, Deep DOF, High Key, Leading Lines, Light On White, Long Exposure, Low Key, Portrait, Motion Panning, Rule of Thirds, Shallow DOF, Soft Focus, Stop Action, and Tilted Angle.

Thats the list you've got to choose from so based on the first image at least I would go with

1. B&W (easy one)
2. Backlighting (sun shining through the trees)
3. Deep DoF (looks like you've got from front to about the ridge before the gate in focus before some blurring appears)

Thanks guys.

The popular one usually does seem to be the first, however I quite like the second, but it is rather 'busy' and I think has a bit too many branches that it just gets lost. I do like it though.

I really like the first shot, with a square crop from the top down to just above the first mount thinggie. Soft focus, Low Key, DoF or Backlighting. I like the abstract feel and the tree silhouette :)
