everything seems to run but i get no display at all on the screen. everything plugged in etc but no screen

tried diff screens and still no luck..

had my cpu clocked quite high so could that be it? (look in sig)

any ideas?

no beeps............ and everything is running fans hdd's everything... and 2 lights on mobo (same as always)

sorry meant to add that ^^

what PSU do you have?

TRy reseting the video card and memory. Check that all the connections are secure.

Do you have both the 8pin and 24pin supplies connected?

psu is casecom (cheapish one)

never had any issues in others i;ve installed (replaced them in other pc's i;ve had)

reset gfx card?

and yup both connected

Ye I've had that sometimes, it freaks you out because you think you've killed it. Reset CMOS with switch a few times ;) Worked for me.

i dont have a CMOS switch, so hwo do i reset it?

Check the motherboard manual, you should have 2 pins* which need shorting using a jumper.

Rob

* The jumper may sit on pins 1 & 2 for normal operation, to reset move the jumper to pins 2 & 3 for a few seconds then place back on it's original position.

oki just found that in the manual (had to find the pdf on evga site)

no change

everything revs up but no display :S

Try starting with only 1 stick of RAM, if that fails try the other stick also use different slots, HD and graphics, if that fails not sure what to suggest next :(

neither hd works :( and i only have one GFX slot

no ram in any slot works

just get amber light on my screen.. not even green :S

wont display anything

perhaps my cpu has gone bang

so no ideas guys?

tried everything now........ annoying as it DID work fine

any way of me telling which part is at fault?

oh btw would the beeps come from the mobo? as it doesnt appear to have a speaker lol

When you cleared the CMOS, did you power off the PC, disconnect the AC either with a PSU switch or by uplugging then with AC off press the power button to totally discharge the PSU.... all before clearing the CMOS?

My abit 650i is fussy, CMOS won't clear with AC connected !

Oki new problem

i decided to completely strip it down and rebuild it bit by bit and test each component

now i have a new problem

before it would turn on and run everything but would not POST

now everything flickers for a second and then it shuts down....... it wont power up again untill i have removed the Power lead and then replaced it

reading some other posts i think either my PSU or mobo is dead...

or possibly both

only thing that stays on is a small Amber light .... top right of mobo

any ideas guys??

oki rebuilt comp from scratch again

it boots now

but now i have the first problem again :S

(tink i had rails wrong way round.. weak one powering drives etc etc)

tink its either a mobo or gfx card problem

get all the lights, drives, fans working just no display on screen

any ideas?
