Compact 6 channel amplifiers?

Hi,

I'm looking out for a compact good to high quality 6 channel amplifier for pc use. Doesn't need a load of inputs - just 6 channel audio and possibly an optical as well. Volume control would be nice too so I wouldn't need to control volume via pc.

Yes I realise a home cinema amp does the job nicely, but they all tend to be rather large and over complicated for just pc use. Mini stack systems also tend to be 2 channel only and most of the time not that great quality.

I know that you can't link to competitors etc, but does anybody have any pointers for manufacturers and models to look out for?

I've already go plenty of speakers, just need the amp.

If your looking for small but amazing then Cyrus amps is the way to go, however Im 99% certain they dont do the 6 channel audio youre after. I hope you prove me wrong but I got a bad feeling you wont get compact 6 channel amp in the size your looking for.

What do you expect to find that isn't a HT receiver? You don't get any other multi-channel amps that aren't very expensive specialised power amps, certainly nothing that you want if you want optical in you need a decoder, you want pre-amp functionality too.
