Compact ATX case?

Maybe space for extra cooling, or bigger VRMs, but if CPUs and chipsets limit PCIe lanes (aka mainstream), what does extra ATX bring these days?
High end mobos - matx is in shambles - only high end mobo for am5 is a Crosshair Gene which isnt without its problems. Same on Intel. ITX is a bit better, but even more limited.

Fair enough. I knew it had to be something obvious and it is ... I never look at £400 motherboards! :D

And even then that Crosshair Gene is only 2 DIMMs too :(

Rather than start a new thread, my question is the same, best compact atx case, the Jonsbo D41 mesh (no screen) seems to fit my needs 360 AIO 180mm psu, atx etc, but I was wondering if there are better options or anything that is soon to be released?

A new case that appears to be gaining popularity is the Lian-Li A3 mATX. I've actually just bought one. I was looking at the D41 myself, but after seeing a few reviews and builds on YouTue thought the A3 looked a really versatile case. I've not started my build yet so it's still sitting in the box, but I had a quick play and the quality and functionality are very good. Have a look on the Lian-Li site for the various AIO choices the case will accept, it's about as good as they come at the moment, certainly at the price point.

Thank you for your reply, I had considered the Lian-li A3 mATX case, sadly it will not fit my Arctic Cooler 360 III , I watched a YouTube build, and he had to swap out the AIO, plus the lack of cable management kind of put me off.

Ideally I am looking for that little bit of extra space, I did consider the ASUS AP201, which will fit my cooler, looking at those cases led me to reading about the Jonsbo cases firstly the D31 mATX, then onto the D41, which is only 4 cms taller, but added the ability to use an ATX case, I do have a suitable Matx MB and an ATX, main difference is my ATX is a Z790, whereas my mATX is a B650m, plus I have a 140mm PSU and a 180mm PSU, I am doing my best to try and fit what I have already into the smallest cases, with the least amount of compromises, the Jonsbo D41 seems to offer pretty much everything whilst still keeping the case on the smaller size, but with the options to put in pretty much all the larger parts that I own, plus the price seems very reasonable at £64.95, I am not interested in the more expensive version with the screen.

But you never quite know what might be released soon, I've spent hours looking at cases.....it would take me less than 20 percent of that time, to actually put the system together...

Have one I like it. Bit of a Dr Who outside looks small but inside has decent room

LOL... You are not alone. I've spent hours/week choosing my next build. Yet for the use I will put it to 99.9% of the stuff would easily meet my needs. I could knock up a system in a morning if I actually bought some parts instead of hunting for yet another tiny review... :)

Have you fitted it out with an ATX MB, AIO and whet length is your psu?
ATX, freezer 36 (and a bunch of case fans) and 140 mm (L) x 150 mm (W) x 86 mm (H) psu front mounted (seasonic gx850) done through ocuk
Not keen on AIO they always felt like one more thing which could fail and its not neccesary for my use

If your going through them just use the ticket system I found them really patient/helpful
