comparing GPUs for SETI

i just found out that a 560 Ti fits in a silverstone sg06 mITX case! out goes the 250 green, in comes more powaaahh! (gosh, this ITX is running a q9400s, how much more can I stuff in there??)

I thought I'd update this thread

I went with a 2700k and I've got it to 4.5GHz so far. The thermal paste is still getting better and better so I should be able to get 4.8+GHz as the cores have gone from 72C to 61C under 100% SETI load and I have plenty of voltage headroom

GPU is a 560ti, and murders 25 point units in about 2 min 15 secs each. FFS, I can't get WUs fast enough now...

As it stands, I have had the machine on for about 10 hours today, and it's earned about 12k points. Now, wheres my stomp boot?

I had a P182 & when I upgraded from a 260 to a 560Ti the temps went up for CPU due to the heat the 560 puts out even with afterburner. You may want to get either the Be Quiet or Akasa apache/viper fans to up the flow through the case.
The antec tri cools going from med to max only make more noise.

Are you running 2 cuda units at a time? They take 2.45 to 3 mins with my Q9550
