Comparing graphics cards

Hi all,

Its been at least 5 years since I've built a PC and around that time I was constantly rebuilding my rig. After spending a fortune I had to stop.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a site which shows comparison charts of graphics cards. I have no idea what is better than what anymore.

Thanks in advance.

This is a review of the latest releases, 275 and 4890, if you read through to the pages on game performance theres some decent tables comparing each card from last 2/3 years

It wouldnt be possible to bench EVERY game with EVERY card using multiple resolutions/systems etc, thats why with things like this they tend to pick half a dozen games that represent system demands quite well and bench them

Yeah I would be asking too much there. Ideally I want something to replace my Geforce 6660gt and would play WoW and Empire: Total War in full settings. Price is the main factor, I don't want to spend too much cash right now. The rest of the PC is 2ghz AMD processor, 2gb ram, 21" monitor.

I've looked around for Empires specs and I can't find it on their website, Steam don't tell me much either except I need a direct x 9 card.

If I could spend £30 for a cheap card and play both them games then that would be excellent. I tend to only play WoW and Ultima Online at the moment and I've always wanted Empire: Total War, im not too bothered getting something thats amazing and will allow me to play the games coming out later this year (this is not a future investment, I have an Xbox 360 for that). However if I found a card for £30 and it had SLI I could always buy another in a few months if needed? My motherboard supports SLI.

I upgraded from an 8800GS to a 4870, and saw no improvement in WoW, so I figure the 8800GS maxed it out. You should be able to find one cheap these days.

I would throw more RAM at your system though, it's cheap these days so go up to 4Gb.
