great thread, i can see this one being around for quite a while

as for the difference, sometimes its staggering, but who would run it at low specs for certain games, hl2 looks lovely on carp hardware, whearas bf2 looks bad on most hardware

its it worth the price difference between the medium and high settings

The thread has basically been created because I for one, running on a medium spec machine would like to see what other people play when they are ingame. Instead of everyone posting screenshots of how they see it, the comparision shots allow people to see what any game will look like on low or high settings. The high settings are something to aspire to whilst the low settings give low end machine users some sort of idea regarding what their gaming experience will be if they picked up a copy of the screened game.

I quite like the look of Far Cry there, ive only played the demo so all ive experienced was the bright sunshine and tropical forests but the darker side of the game looks cool too.
