First of all i would like to say sorry for my posts over the last few months asking very similar things and then never proceeding to purchasing.. But i think now I just need to bite the bullet and decide to buy and build it finally.

I do hope the OCUK gods will forgive me but i will be purchasing with a competitor, mainly that i live very close to them so i dont have to test my luck with how the delivery companies treat my shipment.

I simply need a check for compatability or any alterations i should make:

CPU - i5 3570k
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H
GPU - 2GB EVGA GTX 760
HDD - 1TB Seagate ST1000DM003
PSU - 550W XFX Core Edition
RAM - 8GB Corsair DDR3 Vengeance LP 1600 Mhz
Case - Corsair 200r
Asus DVD Rewriter

Any advice is helpful, thanks :D

Looks compatible.

Is the CPU a retail version so t includes a heatsink, otherwise you will need one.

Don't EU regulations mean they have to come with one? All decent branded ones will have one I think.

Those components are fine - but are you sure you want a new system that is Ivy Bridge instead of Haswell?

Well, I was going to try and go for Haswell - But price has meant i couldn't really fit it in my budget :( the CPU itself is around 10 pounds more expensive but motherboards are the problem being 30-40 pounds more :/ Plus from what i've seen it shouldnt make tooo much difference hopefully.

The boards seem to have dropped a bit lately, there are some reasonably good Z87 boards for £100-£120ish. There won't be much of a performance increase but you'll have better upgrade potential, as well as more native SATA 3 ports.

Not really enough for me i dont think :/ Ivy was good enough before Haswell and its not got any worse, just now theres a slightly better alternative. I think I'm happy to save a little on CPU + Motherboard and put it into the GPU instead.

I finally bought and built this rig now, all went smoothly and I'm very happy with my new PC, thank you all for your help ;D And to everyone who's answered my previous threads.
