Hi all,

I am thinking of getting my self a new PANASONICVIERA TXP50ST30 50 inch 3D Plasma TV 1080p HD Ready Freeview HD and I would like to know if you can use none branded 3D glasses with them as long as they are active shutter ones

so for instance can I use some Samsung active shutter ones with a Panasonic TV or some none branded ones on a Panasonic or do they have to be Panasonic ones to work with the Panasonic TV

any help would be great

Ive seen 3rd party glasses around but you would have to be 100% sure they were compatible with your TV, Samsung 2010 C series glasses wont even work with Samsung 2011 D series TVs for example.
Best bet is probably to get some Panasonic ones.

I guess they will work with each other but the quality could suffer if the active shutter is not synced to the TV or do they all work at the same rate

The Samsung ones won't work however you can buy universal glasses that will. Either branded ones like Xpand or cheap (£35 or so) unbranded ones you can get on eBay.

The cheaper ones are fine and give a good 3D picture, they are however heavier and darker than the latest official ones.
