Compatible Spec?

Hello,

I am looking to purchase the following:

CPU: Intel Quad Core i5-3330 3.0GHz
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 650 1GB GDDR5 Graphics Card
RAM: 8GB
Memory Type: DDR3 SDRAM
Hard Drive: 1 TB
PSU: 300 Watts

I intend to play games such as minecraft and arma II. However a friend told me the psu will not be able to support the graphics card. I have little knowledge of PC's so I was wondering if guys could recommend a suitable PSU for this spec and whether these parts are compatitible?

what's your budget? what do you have already? what is that you need - peripherals, monitor, OS etc)?

Around £500-600 including monitor and OS preferably windows 7. Those specs are from a prebuilt desktop, I was planning to install that GPU and possibly a new PSU, purely because I have no experience in PC's...

Is building a PC something you'd want to try?

You'll get much better value for money.

Its definitely worth building your own. You'll get experience and a sense of ac a accomplishment once your done. You could get something a lot quicker and balanced for your budget than your OP.
