Hi there

Right guys this is a real serious competition because first of all you need to be extremely talented with graphic design and skilled in Adobe suite of products. the winner will also see their work been put to use on OcUK website. Now imagine adding that to your CV.

Awesome competition OCUK, should be great to see yet again what the talented forum members can come up with. I would have a crack, but my design skills are atrocious. ;)

I wonder if GIMP can generate the requisite file type...

Are you sure it's 840? Your main column is 844px wide with 10px margins.

I can't find a declared width of 844 anywhere in the .CSS that controls the pages?

If content in the middle is 840px wide in total then when the site is reduced down to its minimum size is causes no layout issues. Any larger than this and when shrunk to minimum size all content won't fit properly on the screen so all new centre content pages we produce are a standard 840px wide.

Perhaps you are looking at an older page that does have a fixed width of 844?

The "london international tech show" is 848 pix wide?

You are right yes, that page is and it shouldn't be.

Previously, landing pages were never designed to a standard width.

All content SHOULD be 840px wide to fit properly; it would appear that some one *names no names but points across the office* may need reminding of this fact :)
