competitor are a bit pappy... i sold them all my old (old) games for like £30 or something, and one of them was a very, very old roller coaster tycoon.. next time i went in there i saw it up for sale for £7 !!! considering it must have been a good 6, 7 years old.

they also tried to lie to me about a game on even bigger competitor being out of stock even though i knew it wasnt...

No competitors.

Retail has gone SO downhill for PC games last couple of months. Major supermarkets don't even stock PC games in-store anymore, Lame now has a tiny tiny section reserved for PCs, even CEX squeezed an entire isle down to a single row now. Same for some independent retailers too. Only PC game for sale I saw in TopDogMusic™ was War Online on a display surrounded by DVDs.

I know piracy is hurting the industry but it doesn't help at all when you can't even go out to an actual shop and able to buy the game anymore.

I think it’s got more to do with people buying games off websites and digital downloads rather than piracy.

Ahhh but you left out a vital bit of info... you didnt knock it off with your shoulder or arm, but with your knob! THATS why they asked you to leave... it was scaring the other shoppers

same place that wouldnt take my rainbow six vegas, bought it online, played it once, didnt like it, went up to trade it in and they said they couldnt take it, something to do with the barcode, when previously they had just scanned a barcode in one of the games they already have and took it, stuck with a game ive never played before and cba ebaying it now, they take a liberty sometimes, I mind when some lass tried to say my games was really scratched and they couldnt take it, I was trying to tell her there was no scratches, just some marks that the xbox was generally putting on most of my games through normal wear and tear, yet she insisted they were full on scratches, even told me to put my xbox down horizontal instead of vertical (even though it already was), eventually took it to another shop

One game store yesterday tried to tell me that PlayTV isn't out until Janurary.

When I explained that I know people who recieved one early from Pre-Order and that the laminated book of dreams is selling it, he said, "They're probably getting it from America." :rolleyes:

Went to another Game shop instead and got it no problems.

I agree about DD, like Steam etc.. but e-tailers sell all formats at better prices than shops, not just PC games.

Hah, I was in the same Competitor today trying to buy WAR... They didn't have it and, guess what, first tried to sell me Dawn of War, and then tried to sell me the strategy guide "There's no boxed game, you download it all, all you get in the pack is the maps etc and the game is all online".

Though I doubt it.

Favourite days of WoW are over, at level 60 cap I played it for like 2 years straight, I can't get into it as much anymore it isn't the same!

Spose I could, I haven't got serious just yet as I'm still trying to pick a realm, although you're Order and my favourite class so far has been Marauder.

I'll try some more Order classes tomorrow.
