A little help please.......

I already have a C2D 6850 3.0GHz

Can you please suggest a mobo that will work well with the CPU and 4 sticks of RAM. Also a PSU that is both quiet and has cables that will reach with the CM case I am getting. Not bothered about dual gfx ect.

corsair HX520 for PSU

abit or asus p35 chipset based MB, or OCUK IP35 pro if you are on a budget.

Would the Corsair VX 450W PSU run this OK and allow for a gfx upgrade at some point.

depends on what graphics card you put in.

the hx520 is the safer option as it will allow you to put a 8800GTX in without a problem

your current spec may also need a graphics card unless you pick an MB with onboard or you already have one

I've just read a review that had the 450w Corsair running a clocked C2D quadcore and an 8800GTS with no problems at all which is encouraging. It also appears to have very long cables which should help in the CM case.

Don't laugh but I still run a Radeon X800 GT. I have just bought a 24" Samsung though, which gfx card would you suggest without spending silly money, say upto £150.
