I installed Kubuntu and managed to figure out how to install extra packages. Even my wireless was working right out of the gate.

I think I was using KDE but after installing a bunch of stuff and activating the Nvidia driver I rebooted and now I am in Gnome and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to configure my wireless configuration. I need to enter my WEP code.

As best as I can tell I need NetworkManager but when I try to add it it tried to go online to get it and obviously fails.

Can someone please explain how to configure my wireless connection in Gnome or tell me how in the hell I can get back to KDE.

YAY

Posting this from Kubuntu... thank god im on-line again.

I'm very impressed with how much easier Linux has gotten over time. I've tried it before and had so many problems getting it running correctly I gave up.

I installed it on a flash drive to give it a try. I think I am going to mess around with my partitions some and free up some HD space and install it there. I'm sure it would run faster off of the HD then the flash drive.

Might wipe my Windows 7 partition - really don't need it with having XP also.
