Complete networking novice- help.

Hi guys, I could do with a bit of help here, dont know what im doing at all.

Basically, I have the orange livebox, i believe this piece of kit will allow me to connect to my latop not only for wireless internet but also for wireless networking, is this correct?

I cant work out how to configure the 2 computers I have to share files, I have the main PC which is physically wired into the livebox, and the laptop, wirelessly connected to it. I just want to share music and pictures between the two to save me using memory sticks all the time to move files about.

Can someone help or show me a good simple guide to setting up my first home network?

That should be a perfect guide then to sharing files since you run XP. If you need help I can do some screenshots for you. But please try the Microsoft help first thats when you will understand it better.
