I'd get the rift S and see if you like it first. For me the valve Index is too much money to spend for the first VR and you don't even know if you'd like it plus the wait times for them are horrendous. By the time you get your hands on one the reverb 2 will be around the corner. I don't think you would be disappointed with the rift s and it would work great with your setup. You've got a few months to use it and have the option of selling it for the reverb 2 down the line if you want more.

Index or HTC pro, while they are expensive they both use lighthouse tracking which is the best, and once you have the base stations and controllers upgrading in the future isnt going to cost that much for the 'latest and greatest headsets' when either valve or HTC release them.

it may be worth waiting a couple of months - the Reverb G2 looks amazing, comes with controllers and even if you don't like the ones it comes with you can buy index controllers and base stations and have the best of both worlds
