COMPLETE wcing novice needing knowledge on what I need

Hi guys,

At some point in the relatively near future I hope to undertake my first wcing build. Currently it feels like a much larger step than just building my own pc. Below is what I think I need at the moment but of course I am expecting that I am wrong in numerous ways; please be gentle

The cpu and mobo are there because I will be going from an 8320 with a rubbish asrock board to intel and a good z87 board.

I will be building in a Corsair 540 Cube case

You will need 8 Monsoon fittings. The rest looks pretty good.
Noiseblocker fans are also very good and highly rated.
I don't have that case so not sure what fits (sure the above all fits nicely)
I prefer the XSPC D5 Photon 170 Reservoir/Pump Combo costs a little more but looks good especially with the aluminium screw ring

the res/pump will be in the back portion of the case so unless the combo you mention is especially quieter then it doesn't bother me

Out of curiosity, how do you figure out which fittings ill need? I see in peoples build logs that they have loads of different shape fittings, will I need these?

Sorry forgot to mention that i'll be doing my gpu too, a gtx 690 but OcUK don't have the block I need hence I didn't link to it.

e: I TAKE THAT BACK. SInce enquiring with the mods about the lack of 690 blocks they have got some in I didn't want to empty my basket but its the xpsc one

They do sell 690 blocks, but I assume you want an EK block?

My preference is heatkiller blocks, but pricy seeing as its a dual gpu.

ok, and if I decide that I want angular fittings, I see that monsoon don't do those? Who is your preference for those types of fittings?
