completed bioshock should i skip bioshock2 and move to bioshock infinite?

As the title says... I just completed Bioshock on the whole enjoyed the game... Now I heard Bioshock 2 is pretty crap and should miss it out and move to the third...

should I or not???

Give it a go and see for yourself. Personally I didn't get too far into Bioshock 2 before giving up on it, it just felt like more of the exact same stuff I'd been doing in Bioshock but without the compelling storyline to carry it along.

Bioshock 2 is OK. Also there's 2 ways of playing Bioshock (use the girls or save them, which way did you go?...that affects the ending)

1 is great 2 is not so great and nor is 3.

Going by my own opinion and many others/reviews.

They should just drop it now.

A lot of people went crazy for Bioshock Infinite and despite playing it all the way through I just don't understand why. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either.

I saved them and then they saved me put a tear in my eye lol....

Yea I don't think I can play more of the same.... Is it set in Rapture?? don't think I can play several hours more there...

Shouldn't be too much of an issue going from BioShock 1 to Infinite most of the references/tie-ins to the original game(s) are to the first one.

I might not think the same if I replayed the first two, but for me, Bioshock 2 is my favourite out of the three.

Oh and playing Bioshock Infinite back to back with Dishonoured makes for quite confusing memories of which game was which lol.

Now if they could have taken combat from Dishonoured and story from BI... that would be the best of both worlds.

2 is much better then the last installment that is for sure. I actually enjoyed Bioshock 2 but many did not. Best to try it yourself tbh.

It's quite selfish to want them to stop just because you don't like the games.

Dishonoured is a great game, though I'm yet to finish. I got carried away competing for the best scores on Back Alley Brawl with a friend.

I loved 1, found 2 ok (felt like very much more of the same), and thought 3 was brilliant.

None of them are BAD games, so you will always get variation in opinion. In terms of story, you don't need to play 2 before 3.

Whatever the case - play all of them and make up your own mind. These games are such marmite - everyone has a different opinion on each one.

Personally:
- I found 1 just about ok - while I usually like underwater settings, the game leant too much on the horror/desolate side for me. The atmosphere was not my cup of tea unfortunately, even though I appreciate the game for what it is.
- I couldn't get into 2 and have still not managed to complete it.
- I thought Infinite is one of the best games I've ever played and far better than 1 or 2.
