Hello
Recently I started playing FPS games again, I dug out Farcry and remembered how I used to love saving the world from Aliens or Super villains, so I got Crysis, I hoped my new ATI card
would be great to run this, but I am seeing some tearing in the cut scenes, as the game progresses the I think my system starts to struggle, I am currently on a Huge Aircraft Carrier (in
Game) and some Trigger happy Admiral launched a Nuclear Missile at the Alien shield, from there as I go out to do battle the game seems to jump and freeze pretty drastically.
So...
I am here because my system is obviously outdated, It was purchased in September 2008 and at the time because I couldn’t justify spending lots of money on a good PC I just opted for a
Standard no frills system.
I am currently thinking about upgrading something but I’m not sure what, I did think about buying a more powerful GPU but when I look at my systems spec I think it might be a waste of
Money, I really don’t want to buy a new system I'd rather get into the habit of upgrading my own PC. I was looking at getting an overclocked bundle from Overclockers but I am not entirely
sure what to go for I am not even sure if it would help me run my games better, I want something for gaming preferably with enough juice to run in high settings.
So if anyone has some advice looking at my spec and having around £500-£1000 to spend, what would you buy?
Thank you for any info/help and also, thank you for reading.
