Just wondering , i wacked some infinity 610cs in my clio and simply replaced the speakers / tweeters ( left the crossovers in the box ) and they sounded fine but after about a months use both the tweeters have basicley completley destroyed themselves. Is this anything to do with the fact i didnt use the inbuild crossovers ?

Shouldn't laugh, but it's hard not to when presented with such a post....:D
Did you think they were for show or something?

The crossovers supplied with the speakers are designed to send the right frequencies to the right speakers.

It is highly possible that they have been damaged by using incorrect (or no) crossovers, you will have been sending either an incorrect, or complete frequency range to speakers which are not physically designed to accept those frequencies - so yes it is highly possible that if they've been given, and trying to reproduce, the full frequency range, that they have been damaged.

Sam, here was me thinking you'd have known this :(

Yeah, get some new tweeters that you haven't overloaded, and use the crossovers :)
