HI i built a pc a few months ago and last night it blue screened, this wasnt the only problem it was freezing randomly and so i decided to do a reinstall onto a different hard drive as the hdd was slow at indexing files and thought that it might be the problem but now after the reinstall to a different hdd its blue screened. also when transfering files from the old hdd to this one it was REALLY REALLY slow like chrome couldnt load webpages, it crashed once and was just really slow. so im wondering if this is something still to do with the hard drive as it is still installed.

heres the specs

AMD piledriver 8350
Gigabyte 970A-D3 AMD 970A
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX)
hitachi 400gb hdd x2
msi amd radeon HD 7870 black knight edition
500w psu

blue screen dump http://www.mediafire.com/?zqhbm2ch71m1qxo

any chance the ram could be to fault i have ran memtest and it comes back with no errors after 16 hours, the 2gb version of that ram is on the compatibility list so i think the ram is compatible

Steps to think of -

#1 - There's blue screen reader program which will give you an indication to what you need to check when it blue screens next. Unsure of it's actual name, forgive me.
#2 - Try only one stick of RAM and stress test the machine
#3 - Take out the other HDD and use only the fresh installed OS.

#1 have done it says "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" BUG CODE 0X00000050 and it is to do with ntoskrnl.exe and win32K.sys

#2 done for 8 hours no errors, i have the same ram in my other build so going to switch the ram out and see if that one gets errors or if the amd build doesnt get errors

#3 will do now.....once i figure out which hdd is which

Microsoft Bluescreen Article

Download and install updates and device drivers for your computer from Windows Update.
Scan your computer for computer viruses.
Check your hard disk for errors.

The article which I think you may have looked at refers to it being a memory issue, however could be a hardware driver/software. See how your suggestions go with the AMD build.

Would also be weary of the HDD's as well, they might be having some issues as mine eventually packed in and caused several blue screens so eventually gave in.

Another possible fix/solution from microsoft

well i have switched the ram on the pcs, i know the ram in the pc works as it has done for about a year in my first build and i have also removed the dodgy hdd, just going to play a bit of battlefield and test the ram see if it is fixed, but other wise i am just going to have to wait until it blue screens again, if it blue screens

well...transferring files there have been no problems and the ram from the amd system seems to work fine im playing bf3 right now with it and there have been no errors, fps is good and....it seems fine so unless the amd blue screens i assume it just didnt like the ram or the hdd, i took it out aswell

so i have been playing bf3 all day no problems what so ever b ut i joined a skype call there and started a game of lol and my network card died...this pc has never done that before. this is the i7 that has the ram from the amd in it. also as i said before the AMD did have issues when transferring files from pc to pc the download speed dropped to 30kbs so i think i have faulty ram

More problems have occured with the ram i know works in the amd machine the freezing continues it froze after playing Endless space for about an hour and after play BF3 all day long. It also won't put displays to sleep, after 45 mins it should put the monitors to sleep it doesn't it just makes the screen black with the mouse still visible and when i move the mouse it comes back on as if the monitors were sleeping. So i am stumped i think it is still incompatible ram any thoughts on this?

P.S. the fans on the g-card went nuts while playing endless, i have MSI afterburner installed and i have set the fans to increase at intervals which it does but last night after 1-2 hours of endless the fans went straight to 100% and wouldn't stop until the gpu cooled down to below 40, at the time it was only at 45 kinda wierd
