I would like to build a computer for casual gaming, and schoolwork. I would be willing to pay 5-600£. Ive tried to find parts for myself before, but i don't ever know if a part which I've chosen is compatible, and balanced for the rest of the parts. Also, i don't know if i want to overclock the computer. I would only do this if it meant a significant improvement in the performance. I have a monitor, keyboard and mouse etc. all i want is a computer, which ill be able to upgrade as the years go on.
Im fairly confident that ill be able to put the parts together.

Thanks in advance, James

Thanks so much for the help, those lists look good. I can sort out the os myself, unless it needs to be compatible with some parts?

Windows 7 or 8 will be fine. The VTX3D offers the better graphics, as it is able to OC to stock 7950 speeds and is at a bargain price at the moment, saving £39(199.99).

I know its been a while since i posted this, but i now hope to try and make this computer. I think that the current builds however look a bit expensive. To be honest a computer with a price around £500 is more like what i can spend, maybe with a view to upgrade as time goes on. Everything else has stayed the same. Thanks so much for all the help,
James
