Hey guys, thanks for reading.
The last few days, whilst spectating some Dota2 and sitting on TeamSpeak I've been getting some lag from my audio. It'll jitter and sound robot-like for a few seconds before settling. My monitor would also go black for a few seconds (not at the same time as the audio trouble), I'd get the 'please plug your monitor in' error, and then I'd appear back on desktop (not able to maximize Dota2, even though it's still running). I'd task manager and close dota2.exe and then restart the game with no troubles. This happened maybe once a day for the last 5 days maybe. I thought nothing of it and chose to ignore it for now.
Yesterday I noticed that I was getting the sound the PC makes when you unplug a USB, as well as the usual sound breaking and once-a-day monitor black-out. The USB sounds and sound errors happened roughly 3-4 times.
Today I get the same troubles, but a lot more frequent. My monitor only blacked out once, however. The guys on TeamSpeak complained of a terrible robot noise from my microphone that matched the same noises that I had been getting my end. My dota2 was a lot more laggy (felt like I was getting 15-20fps and 300ms). I close Dota2, unplugged my microphone and still the same troubles. I then tried updating my USB and motherboard sound drivers. The USB drivers had some trouble installing, however. I restarted my PC, opened up Twitch and then got a BSOD with a USB error. Once the PC loaded back up, I installed the USB drivers with no problem this time.
I load Dota2 back up and still the same sound glitches. I've installed new drivers for pretty much everything, and the error occurs. Ran a virus check and found only 1 bit of malware MalSign.Generic.31. Removed that, restarted, and still the same problem.
Dota2's game cache is fine, I've also ran a clean re-install. I've not noticed this error in any other game though (That being said I don't really play any other game other than a couple hours of CSGO every 2 weeks maybe)
System specs- Titan 8900i Plasma MK II" Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz @ 4.50GHz DDR3 Ivybridge Gaming PC from OCUK, although it's no longer on the store.
Windows; 7 64
Mobo; P8Z77-V LX
GPU; GeForce GTX 670
CPU; i5 3570k @ 3.50ghz > Overclocked 4.5ghz (Runs about 33C)
Any help will be appreciated,
thanks!
