Hi guys,

I have a samsung 128Gb 830 SSD, supported by an old 250gb Western digital hard disc... i did a clean format when installing the new hardware, and followed Seans SSD guide to set it up (http://www.overclock.net/a/windows-7-install-optimization-guide-for-ssds-hdds-by-sean-webster) - now, I don't know if anything that i did when following this guide is the cause, as i've had the setup for several weeks now but i just reduced the sleep mode from 2 hours to 20 minutes (it hadn't been entering sleep before) and everytime i try to wake it from the sleep it crashes and requires a hard restart, but i have no idea why.

has anyone experienced this before?

Try a BIOS update on the mobo and double check for any and all drivers that are compatible with the HD7850.

Used to be a common problem with the HD69** series IIRC.

Are you using 12.4 drivers for your 7850 by any chance? Quite a few people had this problem and had to roll back to 12.3/update to 12.5 beta to solve this. Make sure the 12.4 drivers is fully uninstalled in device manager after uninstalling, could be just me but I've noticed recent drivers doesn't properly install over the old ones.

Yeah, I downloaded the latest ones from the AMD site about a week ago - which according to their website is 12.4 (although in properties it says driver version 8.961?)... so i guess that might be it!
