computer cuts off randomly

lol as i posted the reply it cut off.
iv switched psu and wired as it was so i can test accurately. lets see if it works.
i hope it is just a psu because i dont really want to have to but just a new motherboard.
i would rather replace the MB if/when i chose to built a new pc.

My feeling is more towards motherboard if I'm honest, but I do hope it's the PSU as that's far less hassle and a bit cheaper to sort.

so its definitely the psu, switched it with the other pc and used it as normal and it cut off.
other psu in my pc going strong.

so il get onto seasonic for rma, im sure its still within warranty if not il get another.

just for reference, the other psu is a corsair hx650.
might just grab another cheaper corsair if i have too for the other pc.

il keep testing it, as it may be the MB too which could have caused an issue with the psu.

Well that's good news in a way, the board being knackered is much more of a pain in the arse. And you shouldn't have any issue with RMA, Seasonic are generally good products with a long warranty.

My read of the thread was a PSU problem, i'd be reasonably confident in just replacing the PSU.

its defo the psu guys, been using the corsair from my other pc and its been fine. the other pc cut off once with the seasonic inside it.
unfortunately warranty has expired as it was for 5 years, i did realise iv had it for 7 years.

just ordered a new psu.
