Hi all, i have recently moved out of my parents house and into my own little two up two down and have to find myself a compact alternative to my current computer desk, this could either be a corner one or just a standard shape, the house loks quite modern, and so far it is neutral colours so something in white/grey/black would be best so not to spoil the rest of the room.

i currently have a mid tower pc and a 24" monitor. so its pretty standard sized.

just wondering what desks people have out there and if they would recommend anything in particular?

cheers.

One like my daughter has got ?

Piece of kitchen worktop supported by two storage units, currently, been happy with this setup for ~15 months. ;)

I keep looking at solid mango desks such as http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370545324572 , after we bought some lovely solid mango bedroom furniture ~18 months ago.

^ Does it look as ghastly in the flesh as it does on the web?

OP; I'd go for making your own when you've sourced the worktop you want (wood, metal, glass etc)

Just got two of these.

Very stylish and priced well. Just put it together last night and looks awesome in my newly painted white room. Will post some pics when finished on `show us your desktop' thread. Really nice acrylic covered surface which is not glossy and but has a slight shine. 75cm deep so nice and roomy if you like your monitor a bit further back like I do.
