Computer disasters

Once spilt a pint of cider over my room mates brand new wireless keyboard. He really didn't like that. Didn't manage to get it working again, took it back to the shop as faulty though.

I managed to drop my phone (it runs windows mobile) down the bog on sat night. Does that count?

In order to use my computer i must boot up in safe mode, then restart from there. I would re-install but can't find the disk, I have my CD-Key though which is a start. Been like this for about months now.

oh i also removed a raid once and forgot to mark the disks.....I tuck a guess and got it wrong so had to install all my games again.

Check/Replace your sata cables (IF you're using sata of course). This happened to me and that's what fixed it. I had one that was a little crushed - weird i know.
Might be worth a shot. It would just hang on the windows xp logo when starting in normal mode, unless I went into safe mode and restarted.

When i clicked the link from the main GD page i was expecting something where you corrupted a Nuclear power plant and it went into meltdown. in reality you lost a file and had to reinstall an OS.

TBPFH i'm disappointed. I want a proper disaster!! :mad:

Having the equivalent of:
while(1){
do something
}
with no break with in C program running on a cluster with 102 nodes bringing down the whole for just under three days.

I used artic silver epoxy rather than artic silver thermal compound on one of the first AMD Palamino chips way back when, trying to explain to the AMD R&D guys why they had to take my motherboard and heatsink as a package didnt go down very well :p
