Computer forensics

Just "Forensic Science", so they probably suck at everything. It's the CSI effect.

yeah when i was in colllege they were doing a BTEC in Applied science which you can specialise to do forensic science or medical science, 95% of the students went for forensic science, and about 80 % of those were going to go on to the degree course in it. Most people wanted to be "CSI's" etc, I spoke to a SOCO before and said people are better off doing an A Level in photography than forensic science:eek:

After failing to get into my main choice of course for uni I went through clearing and was offered to do a degree in forensic biology or a HND in biomedical science which upon completion I can get into 3rd yr of degree. I've decided to go for the HND as I cant see what I could go into with a forensic biology degree

Thing is a lot of computer forensics for the police will involve pedophiles, and you will be the one to retrieve all the images/vids including the deleted ones. Not a job id want to do but i guess someone has to do it..

I originally heard about this area of CF when I worked at Currys, got talking to a customer who worked in the police and told me about cases he had been involved in and while it sounded a bit disturbing I could tell he had a genuine sense of accomplishment when he caught the guys.
