Hi as the title says thats the problem, i got a new build last thursday and i'm having a problem with it freezing, its been relatively ok except for the the following, after i've been play games for a while and i decide to play a game called anno 2070 as soon as i launch the game the computer freezes, but if i turn the computer on after being off overnight or off for a few minutes its fine. It also just froze there while i was watching a movies (streaming from my upstairs pc) other than that i haven't had any blue screens or anything and anno 2070 is the only game that freezes the pc but i'm starting to realise that that game may not be the only problem seems it might be freezing at random now anyway heres the specs

I would also be interested in seeing what temps your cpu and graphics card are running at, could be a overheating issue if the heatsink and fan assembly hasnt been secured down properly.

shouldnt be idle the cpu idles at 15 and the g-card at 21 underload prime 95 the cpu hits 39 and the g-card in game hits a max of 40 thats in dark souls and league of legends

I have just noticed you are running a solid state drive, i take it you have windows installed on that and the 1TB drive is just for storage.

I am not sure if ultimatebootcd has a function in to test ssd's but I would definitely test the memory.

ssd isnt in this build whats in the build is just the basket and a spare itb hard drive

memtest done 1 pass and no errors, will run it overnight to make sure but anymore ideas? im running the hard drive test now but i doubt anything wil come from it, it was the old hard drive for my i7 pc and it worked fine didnt give me any hassle

Ran a hard drive scan and it came back clean, the test was a success and gave me a code of 0x00 which on the hitachi website means there are no errors, rams fine on one pass but will see how it fairs over night but does anyone have any other thoughts on this like could it be a g-card problem or a mobo problem, faulty windows install maybe???

I would definitely suspect a faulty power supply,

Do you have another one you could try?

300w but tht won't work too little power although I found something by upping the max power consumption of the g card in msi afterburner by 20 % Anno launches after 2 hours of constant gaming weird I think that fixed it will post if there are any changes
