Computer Froze A Few Times

Hi,

I have noticed a few times that my computer has just randomly froze. The mouse won't move or anything.

Is this software based (which I doubt because I have a fresh install only 2 weeks ago and I have up to date antivirus).

And if it is hardware based what tests can I run to see what is causing the problem?

Does it exhibit the same symptoms in safe mode? (tap f8 at boot to select safe mode)

If it does then it's likely (but not certainly) hardware based. If not then it's likely software based.

Next time it does it I will try and get a log then try safe-mode for a while.
