Computer issue! Please read

It's the green cable (there's only one) and any other black cable. I usually use the one right next to it.

Push each end of the paperclip into the terminals. Disconnect absolutely everything from the PSU... plug in an old fan to a molex connection. Flick the power on. Hope for the best the fan spins.

Fans are spinning, the paper clip trick... IT WORKED! Now what'd we think guys?

Not only did it work on the molex, I also must have left my case fan's plugged up also and they all powered up beautifully.

When you switched case, did you take the CPU out of the board at all?

Now plug the 24pin into the motherboard, the 4pin, the GFX card with its two 6pin PCI-E.

One stick of RAM and power up.

I would remove all those USB cables etc, dont need that stuff at this time.

Is the CPU cooler definitely on the four pin fan header? and its not hanging off the edge ?

I didn't remove the CPU no, I held the motherboard from the cooler and also from the side though, may I have knocked it off its perch a bit?

Shall try that.

Try one ram module in the slot closest to the processor. If same result, swap for the other. See what happens.

As mentioned. Disconnect absolutely everything, except... Mobo, Processor, CPU (fan) one memory module. Also leave the front panel headers installed. Try and power up. Oh... don't forget the gpu... unless you have built in gfx with the board. Not sure on your specs.

After you have exhasuted all these suggestions, its time to build out side the pc case, use a box.

it worked! I stripped everything out other then ram, mobo and processor. It had one long beeps and two short beeps, What shall I do next? :D

...which is then controlled by the knob.

Instead of using an extension lead, plug it directly into the wall.

I left the knob bit in, as my PC is owned and controlled by one :p

If you have another gpu handy, put that in there. If no other, RMA, or if out of warranty, back to here! :)

Just a quick update - All is well and fixed up now, I am glad Stulid and the gang were at hand. I took a day off to get that all done all for the problem to be a poxy braided 6-pin cable.

Meet Angel.

As I was reading through this thread ... my first thought was that the power switch lead for the front headers was on back to front.

Built a rig 4 weeks ago..... double .. thruble checked all the main leads etc etc etc... plugged in ...switched on ... pressed power on switch..... nowt

TEMPER TANTRUMS

Then calmly... pulled the switch lead off ... reversed it.... back on... power on

Tata... "we have life Huston"

:)
