I have a strange problem, my computer keeps freezing and I have to turn off and reboot it just hangs when im uploading files to my web server but its only been with .png files and large .jpg files and its the same when im copying them about it does the same!

Heres the spec
windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
8gb ram
quad core intel 2.4

I really cannot understand why it is doing it ? ive reinstlaled windows and it is still doing the same im thinking it must be a hardware fault but dont know what

Try with two clicks more CPU northbridge voltage than what auto is using, also manually set dram voltage to what's printed on the ram,

I cant find a bit in bios to change northbridge voltage and I dont know what the ram voltage is as it dont say it on the ram, its PNY 2x 4gb sticks 4800 i think, its weird as it has never done this problem until I moved the computer upstairs

Try reseating the ram sticks themselves, sometimes if they move around it causes pc to freeze,I'm not too hot on older chips but not enough voltage between CPU and northbridge can cause freezing like you described

I have tried re seating them and still the same, I am going to try and up the voltage see if that makes a difference
