Computer keeps freezing

I'd do the following:

1. Post your temperatures, underload and idle.
2. When you ran memtest, did you test a single stick at a time? If not, do this.
3. Remove unnecessary hardware from Motherboard.
4. Does your computer freeze when opening Task Manager when not connected the internet?
5. Download the diagnostic tools for your hard drive and test, they pickup issues that a check disk may not.
6. Use a spare hard drive for a new installation of your OS, if possible.

4 - yes
2 - i have 3 gb ram, but only ran it once

ok guys, removed the 1 gb of ram.............computer has stopped freezing

now have 2gb of ram inside.

JUST 1 QUESTION: if i buy another 2gb of ram from any company will it matter????

regards

When I installed Windows 7 it wouldn't start until I removed my wireless card...as has been said, try ditching all but the bare essentials from you mobo and see what happens. Then you can replace them one by one to see what's causing the problem.
