Hey all,

Thought someone here might be able to help me in my plight.

My PC (running Vista) keeps restarting on startup when it hasnt been on for a few hours. I have to watch it turn itself off and on again about half a dozen times before it gets to the Windows Logon screen, where it MAY do it once or twice more before allowing me to sign in. The odd thing is when its been on for a while it will NEVER restart itself! I just have to get through the half a dozen or so restarts just as or before it is starting to boot.

Graphics card is a BFG GTS 250. I can hear it make a slight "whirring" with each reset but assume this is down to the fan picking up speed for just a slight second as the computer restarts.

My initial thoughts are that it could be power related. I've ruled out it being OS related as it has happened before in Safe Mode too!

Any thoughts?

Funnily enough no it's not even OC'd!

My PSU is a cheap 700W Arctic, however I do have an expensive Corsair 750w PSU sitting here that I bought back in November. I'm going to be trying that next and seeing if that solves it though, if it doesn't, I'm a bit stuck as to what to try after.

If that doesn't work try updating your motherboard bios.
