These days, whenever I boot the thing up it wants to run a disk scan. Whenever I let it do it it comes up with nothing but 8 times out of 10 it will do it again at the next boot. Is this anything to be concerned about?
Are you running Windows 7 and Avira? If so, have a look at this thread http://forum.avira.de/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&postID=852892.These days, whenever I boot the thing up it wants to run a disk scan. MSE is very good, but still slower than Avira, and with a much larger memory footprint. I tried running MSE instead of Avira while waiting for the fix to the chkdsk bug, and noticed that it does not play very nicely with Comodo (with Firewall and Defense+ installed). Most of the time MSE+Comodo worked fine, but there were huge delays while installing certain new programs, and it was necessary to disable either MSE or Defense+ for the installations to finish. Any antivirus that goes on my computers has to coexist nicely with Comodo (Firewall and Defense+), and I went back to Avira with the unofficial patch (which is likely to become official sometime later this week).Could ditch Avira and use MSE instead, I'm dead impressed with it
