Hey, my home server has decided it doesnt want to answer to its name anymore! when i try to browse to \\"pcname" it doesnt work. now i have to use the computers IP address for this. I cant remember what I did when it stopped working.

This has proved very annoying as it means my family have to now use the OWA side of the exchange as outlook can no longer resolve the IP address to a name.

Its a Windows 2003 box with a lot of services running, but its user base is no more than 10 people.

I have tried changing the name of the server and then back again, also tried removing and re-inserting the DNS entries. not sure what to do next!

nope, though I have recently moved house. I've a new Speedtouch ADSL2 router from my ISP which was giving me some network problems. wouldnt think it would cause the server to stop responding to is name though??? especially since its the server that acts as DHCP and not the router.
