Hi

Bit late to call ocuk so i thought i would post here. Just put in my 6950 2gb, and my computer keeps trying to boot up but from a few seconds of pressing on button in just switches off, then tries again and again and again ect. Im sure its not mobo seems to check out fine, have 750w psu everything is compatable and i cannot see what the issue is , all the psu clips are in the right way, but i did get two power cables with it which i have not sure but i think they are just optional. My previous card was a 4870x2. Any ideas?

Thanks Jeza

Have you plugged the power cables into the card ?

I don't know much about ATI cards, but my GTX480 has two power cables and they are both plugged in!

Yeah both plugged in matey.

right somehow its powered up and on and installing the drivers from disc, windows did its detected new hardware thing then said choose to install drivers but i closed it as im installing drivers from disc so i guess it should not be a problem...but im sure its going to go south soon!

A rule of thumb I've always adopted is to throw driver discs in the bin & head straight to the manufacturers site for upto date drivers, driver CD's make good coasters, little else imo. ;)

Guessing it's a little loose and on the edge - give it a firm poke into the slot to make sure and enjoy your new card :D
