So recently my HD screwed up so I upgraded and baught a Western Digital Caviar Blac 640gb Sata-II 32mb Cache HD from OCUK. At the same time I also upgraded to windows 7 ultimate 64bit.
It was working fine but a week or two ago it started to hang when starting up. It would either sit there for a long time and eventually load, say 15 minutes. And sometimes it would just never load. So I checked the sata cables and everything and That seemed to fix the problem, so maybe that was that. But now when I do certain things (it seems only certain things) my HD seems to go crazy and freezes up. Sometimes I regain control but sometimes it just totally freezes and I have to restart.
Mostly it happens when opening photos to edit. I copied the photos from my other harddrive and it happend so I deleted them and copied them from my external harddrive and the same thing happend. When I open them from the other HD or the external HD they open fine.
Could this be a HD problem? or something else I really have no clue. I just suspected the HD as I had the boot problems. And sometimes in my computer my other harddrive doesn't show but sometimes it does. Could there be some other problem?
