Hi since I bought my computer I have been experiencing this problem. It can be at any time my computer will randomly freeze up for a few seconds then restart, I have noticed that it does this more when for instance I play a bluray film or play a game but it will still restart if its just sitting on the desktop with nothing running. Some days it is completely fine some days it will restart several times in an hour.

The specs of the PC are:
Windows 7 Professional
Intel Core i3 CPU 503 @ 2.92GHz
4.00GB RAM 1333MHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460
Gigabyte H55M-S2H Motherboard
******** 650W PSU

After a restart I get this critical error in event viewer :

Log Name: System
Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power
Date: 03/02/2011 12:54:23
Event ID: 41
Task Category: (63)
Level: Critical
Keywords: (2)
User: SYSTEM
Computer: AlexMH
Description:
The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

Me and a friend believe the problem to be the PSU, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nova Tech 650W ATX Power Supply for AMD and Intel Motherboards 20Pin + 4Pin
Its a really terrible PSU. Thats why me and my friend think that would be the issue

Hey sorry to bump up an old post.
I installed a new PSU, the cooler master one mentioned above and I am still experiencing this problem.
Any other suggestions?

Tried to run prime 95 overnight to find faults but my pc just does the random restart thing. Seems I can't do this. Will run memtest today I guess.

I believe the heat sink to be fine. If I leave my computer on over night completely idle I will wake up to find that it has reset overnight.
