Computer Rebooting for no reason

Hi all im running Windows XP Home with SP2 and this morning for no reason its rebooting.

Before I go into the ins and outs of the system details is this more likely to be hardwear related if ive never had a problem in 1year or softwear?

Im not getting any error messages up, i have just sorted it to not reboot on error now so hopefully i should see a message.

Any ideas.

are there any quick virus checkers out there i can use to check this?

Did you make any recent changes at all?
Does it reboot at exactly the same point in the bootup each time?
tried safe mode?

Well it hasnt rebooted in the last 40 mins, and i couldnt pin down what caused it.

I updated my sound drivers the other day, but it didnt reboot ater doing that

I hate computers at times.
