Computer reboots for no reson?

Hi guys i have built a new pc for myself about a month ago now! But have noticed when i overclock it my onboard network seems to work when it wants to some times ill start windows and it works other times it wont. When i goto network connections it says no driver could be found strange ah. My other question is last night i had been playing MW2 on pc for a good few hours when pc just stoped and rebooted 2 times! could this be a heat problem maybe ??

Any help would be great and sorry if this is in wrong posting area

Could be heat, could be unstable OC?
If you load the bios defaults and boot to test, does your NIC work ok, is it only when OC'd that the nic fails?
Have you got any temp monitoring software installed to see how hot your CPU is getting?
 
Yes if i load bios default it works fine only does it when OC`d but it does work every other time when OC`d say if i rebooted again it may work afterwards
 
When i OC pc all i am doing is upping the fsb and leaving everything else on auto which i presume would up the voltage on cpu auto am i right in thinking this ?

your proberly hitting a fsb hole, it happens im in the same boat, ive got a e2140 which is 1.6g running at 1100mhz/2.2g now many have said they can get 155/1600mhz which is 3.0/3.4 ish ghz and i just cant hit that fsb for some reason

also i dont belive your auto settings up the voltage to match.

have you tryed upping your nb/sb voltage to 1.5v and run the ram at 2.1v



also why im here how you finding the h50 and not sure if to go for that or the cool it eqivilent, also see your from kent, you far from sevenoaks?

CPU Differential Amplitude => 800mV
... all other voltages to Auto
 
Two things:

Firstly, your sig breaks the forum rules vinnyuk, I suggest you amend it. Information on what's acceptable is in the FAQ.

Secondly, can we have some more details on your PSU please? Problems such as rebooting whilst gaming are often related to insufficient power. Generic power supplies are seldom able to produce their rated wattage constantly, which is why it's an extremely important component not to save money on.

I've found that overclock problems often present as bluescreens or hanging, as opposed to rebooting, though it's not at all impossible.

I suggest you remove your overclock and test again. Before putting it back, please read up on how to overclock properly, so the risk to your hardware is lower. It's not a fast process, it takes patience. Hope that helps.

Hi mate will give that a go for starters :) thanks and the H50 seems ok at the mo at idle temp are about 35c - 36c and on load does not go past 50c .
I live at sheerness you are prob about 45 min to an hour away

Hi sorry for the sig but did not know :-( right my psu is a standard one 750 w no thrills or anything and your right was fairly cheap

Another question is my M/B has 8 phase power connector 6+2 im only useing 4 at the mo if i got the OCZ StealthXStream 700w would that use all 8 connectors > thanks
 
Depending on the mobo, that may be OK as it is, but I HIGHLY suspect your PSU is what's giving you trouble. A better PSU will almost certainly have enough connectors for the board.

However, you may not need a 700W decent brand PSU depending on your spec, so you could save *some* money depending on if you're planning to upgrade soon etc.

What's your full system specification?

ive only just upgraded to this lol

Spec is as follows
M/B Asus P6T SE, Mem Corsair XMS 3g tri channel, Intel i7 920 Do Stepping, 500 gb weston/d sata drive, cheap PSU, Corsair H50 cooler,
