Computer Science at Bath?

Bath is a nice place and a decent campus, definitely worth going for a look, it's not really that big a trip in the grand scheme of things, London to Bath, shouldn't take any more than 2 hours or so? Can always stay over at a hotel if you're worried about being tired or anything like that.

Interview is an entirely normal part of the application process at many unis too, don't worry about it, nothing sinister going on :p

Paddington to Bath is 1.5 hours on the train, so not far in the grand scheme of things at all.

Also, I went to Bath so would deffo recommend it :)

My brother is doing his PhD in physics at bath... that's all I got :p curious, what did you get in your A-Levels and GCSE's if possible because I am also looking to apply there for CS but they have fairly high requirements ohh and my bro takes some train lol.

Did you ever interview access students? Generally what did you look for?

I never interviewed, but I remember speaking with colleagues who had.

Mostly the interview is a chat about your Ucas form and also a chance for you to find out about the university. If you are being interviewed then they are almost certainly they want you. Take it seriously and you will be fine :)

This, from my experience (and of friends) it's just a general chat and unless you really really **** up you're going to get an offer of some kind.

My interview revolved around them trying to convince me to come to Bath over Imperial :D

I have an offer from a very closely related subject ( electronic engineering) from Bath. It's a decent University and Bath will probably be my insurance. I did not have an interview but only a post offer visit. The engineering department is full of Chinese students as Bath is regarded very highly in Asia, if it's good enough for Asians then it's good enough for you :D. Also the transport links at Bath are second to none, buses from the train station every 10 minutes. I think that the transport links seem much better than at my other offers. The thing with Engineering/Computer science is that with a placement year it is fairly trivial to get a decent job, any of the top 20 Universities are pretty much the same. The only difference is if you want to go into a non related field such as finance, where obviously engineering at oxbridge to those companies is going to look better than Engineering at bath.
