I had an old PSU that blew, luckily it didnt take anything with it but it dont half make you jump . I always buy Enermax now and not had one single problem, really high quality PSU's

Have you tried covering it in those nicotene patches to try and get it to give up.

Yep he replaced it with another unbranded PSU, it melted my graphics card and now I'm even more desperate to get my hands on my conroe system. Enermax does look good!

Always use a quality branded PSU.
I learnt the hard way when I was newbie.

took out spanking new 2.4Ghz P4 HT, GeForceFX 5900, EPoX 4G4A+ and 512mb of 1gb ram.

I would buy a new PSU but I'm getting my conroe rig soon so it doesn't seem worth buying a new PSU to use just for 1 or 2 weeks.

I've several PSU go bang. Never lost any components, but have always used good quality parts.
Last failure was a Tagen 480w. Big blue flash and everything!

Thats always the way... the cheapo ones destroy components when they die and the decent ones don't.
