Computer stuck on Bios splash screen

Hello!

Recently-ish built a new computer.

Was working fine earlier, now when I turn it on it gets stuck on the Gigabyte splash screen right at the start, no buttons work etc and it won't load into Windows.

Any ideas?

*edit* sorry it's the motherboard screen it's stuck on, when you first turn it on

Try a clearCMOS.

Then start stripping it down to the basic parts needed to power up.

Unplug all your USB Devices, then try - sometimes causes mine to hang if one of them is playing up.

Is it one of those splash screens that hides all the BIOS activity? Have you tried accessing the BIOS?

Great shout. Went to do this then realised I had just plugged my iPod in today.

Unplugged it, then it went past the motherboard splashscreen, went to some BIOS screen, then the computer reset and now it's working fine!

Wonder what happened
