Hello All,
I am thinking about getting the IKEA Freddie table but wish to know whether a Asus PG348Q monitor will fit or not with out loosing the top part which I need to put things on. Many thanks.

From the Ikea site

You can fit a 32" computer monitor or TV by removing the shelf above the table top.

So looks like that's a no.

34" ultra wides are only as tall as 27" 16:9 dont forget, i have no idea if it makes a difference but i would assume theyre referring to a 32" 16:9.

I’m using both the lower shelf at the lowest position possible (so that I can tuck the keyboard underneath the monitors) and the top shelf at the highest position.
In this case there is a 50cm clearance without any issues, 53/54cm if pushing it.

If removing the bottom shelf, keeping only the main desk top and the top shelf there is at leas a 60cm clearance without any issues, and around 63/64 pushing it. I mean pushing it where the monitor top might be under the front “bar” of the top shelf. But that doesn’t bring as far as I can see any visibility issues.

So if the height of your monitor is only 47cm, it will fit without any issues with the bottom and top shelf in their places.

Hope this helps.

Many thanks for your replys. You are right the height of the monitor is 21 inches approx (53cm). I am going to IKEA in the next few days with my tape measure and have a look at this table. If it serves my needs then I will purchase it. I want to keep the top shelve as it will be handy for keeping files ect on top.
