Hi, I have this Computer in use for a few years ago, I would like to bring it back to life but apparently I can't.

-AMD FX (tm) -4300 Quad-Core 3.8GHz Processor
-NVIDIA GeForce GT 730 4 GB dedicated
- 8.0 GB RAM
-MSI 970A-G43 (MS-7693)

When it is turned on, the fans all spin (CPU, GPU, Power Supply) even if after a few minutes that of the GPU stops and the others continue to spin.
The power supply is to be excluded because I tried it on another pc, I also reset the CMOS by removing the battery.
Do you have any other advice to understand where the problem is? I also connected a speaker (hoping for the right place) but it does not emit any sound.

Let's start with the obvious: is the monitor plugged into the GPU? Have you tried another output on the GPU?

THe speaker part is worrying: you should get a beep on successful completion of the BIOS boot.

Either measure that "BIOS" battery has correct voltage (3V) or replace it.
In that old board it can be well dead and you never know what kind symptoms that causes.

The i3 530 won't work in an AMD motherboard.

You say you tried the psu in another PC have you tried the GPU also?
No. I have got this

- AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-core processor
3.00 GHz
- 16,0 GB RAM
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070
- AsRock AB350M Pro4

It's compatible? I could try on this, but I'm afraid of doing some trouble ...

Yes, it’s standard but the issue may be that the battery is giving inconsistent current. It may not be delivering 3V.

Is this a PC that worked fine and has done nothing for 2 years, or did you have to re-assemble it from parts?

Look on YT for troubleshooting help. Without a very similar system on which to test the individual components it is hard to detect what the problem is.

If a component in the PC is "burnt out" then there is a serious issue somewhere. Anything you then use with the psu or mobo could then be damaged almost instantly. One component that could potentially be faulty is the ram. Try with one stick and if still doesnt boot change it to a different slot. If it boots with 1 stick in any slot then you are good to go..

Unless you desperately need this pc to work then it is not worth spending money to trouble shoot. Let it die in peace.

I did as you advised, I took the computer to a professional technician. He just contacted me and told me it is not repairable. He confirmed that the problem is the motherboard and the other components appear to be working.

Now I just have to find a new motherboard at a reasonable price or sell each piece on eBay

Advice?

If your happy with the performance of your old pc then get a replacement motherboard but cost is a factor and someone to replace it.

If you sell the parts keep the gt730 as a back up.

Might not be worth the hassle/cost for such an old secondary system, given you have a Ryzen as primary.
You probably won't get much selling the components, although the RAM might get some interest and is cheap to post.
