Computer Upgrade/Revamp

Hey! I'm currently looking to upgrade/revamp my computer, with a budget of ~£500. I'd quite like to shrink down to MATX, but what do you guys think would be the best value upgrade from that? The only games I really play are WoW, Diablo 3 and GW2 - But am always streaming media from my NAS/net whenever I'm on the PC, even when gaming.

My current specs are:

2560x1080 monitor + 1920x1080 monitor
i5 2500k
8GB 1600Mhz RAM
Z68AP-D3 Mobo
Zotac GTX780
Samsung 250GB SSD
1TB HDD
650w Antec TruePower bronze PSU
Bitfenix Shinobi case

Spec looks fine to me. Overclock the i5 and save your pennies for a new graphics card when they they bring out Pascal/Polaris.

Skylake would only be a marginal upgrade for the amount it would cost.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

The i5 is already OC'ed to 4.4Ghz, I was hoping I'd be able to go for the likes of 6600k and overclock that similar? Part of the reason I wanted to get an upgrade done now is because after this it will be at least a good 2 years before I can realistically put any money into the PC.

I would just wait and see what AMD and Intel brings out this year. Tbh the last few Intel chips has been meh and not that much cost effective.

Ok, thank you. I may look at just getting a new case then, maybe as PSU also, since it's now 5 years old.

I would be looking in the MM, for a 3770k and a mATX Z77. You might also find a decent Psu. Sell your current Cpu and mobo, then put the money towards a new case.
