I cannot seem to get this pc to post boot after I press the power switch,i have all the wires in correctly, the motherboard light shows green, the cmos jumper is set to normal to, I dont know what the problem is :(

I have made progess,i put 1 (6 pin connector and 1 (8 pin connector in to the card slots, at that point I couldn't even get a screen up telling me the problem,i took out the (8 pin connector and now I get a message up saying on screen saying please connect the correct wires and I see a red light next to the gfx card, which indicates something is wrong here, ok so this is what I have, I have 1 pci-e wire that is connected to the psu and then I have 2 wires that fit in to the psu to the gfx card, on the gfx card there is 1 (6 pin slot and 1 (8 pin slot, so I am unsure which wires to put in the gfx card, the document I got with the card dosent show much at all, thanks for the quick reply btw :)

yeh I have that problem sorted now, I was forgetting to plug in the 2 little wires that was apart from the 6 pins :) , I thought they were spares or something, anyway I have bios up now the problem is getting a windows 7 os to boot up and install, I have set the boot option to the dvdrom drive and when I save in bios and reset,i get an error message up saying no bootable device found, this a brand new bought version of windows 7 unregistered..there is something in bios which lets you select IDE,RAID,AHCI,when I selected IDE the dvdrom device appears in the list and if I select AHCI it dosent appear???,the drive is connected by sata to so I don't understand this part...

I am seeing the grey windows loading bar then its taking me to an error screen,i cant remember what it says but il try a simualer pic on google about the message

Here is the message I get

o4Gvol.jpg

This happens straight after it firsts boot from cd and the first loading bar completes,it might not be the exact text but I cant tell this is the error screen.

These are the sata sockets on the motherboard
intel z77 serial ATA 6gbs connectors 7 pin SATA6G 1/2[brown]
intel z77 serial ATA 3gbs connectors 7 pin SATA3G 3-6[black] x2
ASmedia serial ATA 6gbs connectors 7-pin stata3g e1/e2[gray]

The SDD drive is connected to the intel z77 6gbs socket
The Dvdrom drive is connected to intel z77 3gbs socket

The bios is setting to AHCI and I see the SSD and DVDR DRIVE on the list
I cannot seem to select in bios boot menu to boot from the dvdrom drive as there is nothing to tell me how todo it, I just see something like

P1 SDD
p2 DVDROM

but I can change it if I press f8 on post screen and there I can select what to boot from

(edit)
I am going to get a usb stick and install it that way now that I know how todo it

Hmm I cannot understand why fifa 13 is getting stuck at the intro logo screen, this was happening on the other pc to,how can the same problem happen on a diferent pc,its a fresh install of origin to.

Right now I have the intel heatsink that came with the cpu cooling the cpu, I have an Corsair H80 Liquid CPU Cooler not opened yet, should I install this, will I see a diference in computers performace in gaming?,what should I do?

Got the cooler fitted, now lets see if there is a diference :)
I don't understand how it cools the cpu if the fans are not on top of it,are they blowing air through those tubes?

So you bought all this new stuff with no idea how it works?

The H80 is a watercooler. The fan blows cool air down into the radiator which is connected to a water cooling loop. (aka water running through the tubes)

I sort of had an idea how it works,so how come this water dosent evaporate due to the heat?
